It was still quite a prize and even half of it was more than the three winners of the previous highest prize had gotten.
$543 Million
There were several prizes from the Mega Millions that came in at over half a million, with this ticket, sold only a few years ago, coming in at over $100 million less than the prize that takes the spot before it. With this ticket there was only one winner from California that took the jackpot. It is the second largest jackpot to be won by only a single person in the Mega Millions history.
$536 Million
This ticket was also sold to only a single person, out of Indiana. Sold in 2016, the ticket was only slightly higher than the one that comes directly behind it at $533 million.
$533 Million
This ticket was actually sold in New Jersey in 2018, and only a single person won the prize, making them half a million dollars richer (though taxes did take quite a bit out of that as well).
Other prizes within the top ten come in at over $400 million, and each of those prizes was won by a single individual.
