Are you heading out on the rip on New Year’s Eve this year? Don’t let the riots in Hong Kong put you off, get out and see the world asnd use these 10 tips for finding romance on New Year’s Eve…

10 New Year’s Eve Activities to Help Your Dating Chances

1.Don’t be afraid to use Dating websites!!

These days some of us still have a stigma about online dating sites, but come on, in this modern age of adult dating, online sites are a super place to try and find love. Get signed up, be honest and be cautious and you can meet your true love online, before the decade fades out of view.

2.Don’t restrict yourself to dating only locals

Just because you are backpacking in China doesn’t mean you have to date a Chinese man or woman. Other immigrants live here too and they are also looking for love.

3.Try the “No strings” approach

No Strings dating is a great way to break the ice and not become too romantically attached to your partner. This way, you can feel at ease from day one. You don’t have to fall in love and there is no pressure for the future. Delve into no strings dating and let yourself have fun, without any extras needed. It could eventually lead to a lifetime love anyhow.

4.Still frequent bars and clubs

Just because the internet exists, doesn’t mean you should ignore the traditional methods of going out to bars and clubs. You can still meet the love of your life by chance over a gin and tonic you know!

5.Go dancing

To get personal and touchy feely with a girl or guy, head for a night of dancing. Whether it is traditional Chinese dancing, or even Salsa or Tango, it is certainly an icebreaker.

6.Suggest a night at the movies

Nothing starts a fairytale romance quite like a textbook “Saturday night at the movies”. Get some cinema tickets booked and head for a movie that suits both of you. In the dark, anything can happen.

7.Dinner dates at fancy restaurants

Use your friend Google to locate a swanky, posh or fancy restaurant in your town that the date will be in. Get a prime table booked.

8.Dress to impress

Make sure you always look your best. Your date will be dressing up, looking and smelling good. Mirror that and you have a chance!

9.Add them on social media

Don’t be afraid of asking for their Facebook profile, Instagram feed etc. In this modern day and age this brings trust together and you can also look at a back catalogue of photos and posts from the date to ensure you know a bit about them in advance. You can impress this way. Later once you are added to each other and comfortable, you can tag each other ot make your friends happy yet jealous of your new love!

10.Be confident!!

Last but not least, a great tip is to be confident. Don’t show nerves on the first date and enjoy yourself. You will hopefully have a great time!
